Export Procedures

At Busia Goldfield, we streamline the transition of gold from our mines to the global market. Our export process is designed to be efficient and fully compliant with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) regulations in Uganda.

• Verification: All gold bars undergo final assaying to certify purity.


• Taxation: Payment of all applicable royalties and mineral dealer fees.


• Sealing: Secure packaging and official sealing of consignments by customs authorities.

Documentation

Transparency is the foundation of our trade. We provide a comprehensive documentation suite for every shipment to ensure a smooth transfer of ownership and legal entry into the destination country:

• Commercial Invoice: Detailing quantity, purity, and agreed value.


• Certificate of Origin: Confirming the gold was mined and processed in Uganda.


• Assay Certificate: Technical breakdown of the gold's fineness.


• Export Permit: Issued by the Ugandan government for legal mineral movement.


• Customs Declaration Forms: Fully cleared and stamped paperwork.

Customs Clearance

Our team handles the complexities of customs brokerage to prevent delays. We coordinate directly with the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and airport customs to ensure that all declarations are accurate and that the gold is cleared for international departure within 48–72 hours of the order confirmation.
